Instruction: year round on Saturday afternoons, focused on the golf swing and short game, etiquette, tournament play, rules and sportsmanlike conduct. Instruction is provided by local golf professionals with a targeted average junior/instructor ration of 7:1. Juniors are organized into skill levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced, regardless of age. Instruction provides substantive exposure to valuable life skills especially respect, hard work, self-discipline and character. Golf clubs are provided to juniors without clubs of their own.
Competitions: organized by age and ability, a minimum of six events to be played May through December. In 2010 we will have seven or eight events. LCJGA conducts the only tournaments in the area open to under 12s and beginners. Competitions provide tremendous exposure to valuable life skills especially integrity, honesty, perseverance, courtesy and sportsmanship.
Course Access: after instruction juniors can play golf for free at the Las Cruces Country Club, any other day juniors pay a green fee of $2 to play after 3 PM. Course Access provides affordable promotion of playing golf and exposure to valuable life skills especially responsibility, respect and courtesy.

Registered participants enjoy free driving range and playing access from January 9.
